The magic table – 'Tischlein-deck-dich' (little table serve dinner), an allusion made to the the Grimms’ fairy tale, “The Wishing Table, the Golden Ass, and the Cudgel-in-the-Sack” – allowed the king, as at Linderhof, to take his meals all by himself. The large chandelier, a flowerbasket on the table, vases and clocks are of Meißen porcelain.
